With the NBA playoffs set to tip off this weekend, fans of the Toronto Raptors will be digging deep into their pockets to watch their team play in person. According to Forbes Magazine, the Raptors have raised their average ticket price by 242 per cent from $108 during the regular season to $370 for the first round. The average increase of the 16 playoff teams is 105 per cent. They also have the third-lowest number of tickets on the secondary tier, with just over 2,000 tickets available. Raptors fans have not seen a playoff game in Toronto since 2007-08 and the team has not advanced to the second round since the 2000-01 campaign. The Indiana Pacers have the second-highest markup on playoff tickets at 211 per cent while the Los Angeles Clippers have the second-most expensive tickets at just over $300 on average. The Miami Heat are the only team with no playoff premium, however they had the highest regular season ticket price average of $233.
